NEW: Satellites track Tropical Storm Bertha ahead of historic SpaceX launch
UPDATE: As SpaceX counts down to its ABSOLUTELY historic first (1st) launch of astronauts for NASA, weather is of course now a concern. As we speak satellites are tracking the newly formed Tropical Storm Bertha just off the South Carolina coast.
Will this cause a delay? We shall see….
NASA and SpaceX were obviously already eyeing potential upcoming thunderstorms and foul weather in Florida for today’s (5/27) historic launch from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. There is currently a 49% chance of bad conditions at liftoff, which is scheduled for (at the moment) 4:33 p.m. EDT (2033 GMT).
